We spotted and fell in love with this Anthracite Grey (L469) Beetle at the Terenure Show in 2017. It looked like it had just come out of a thorough restoration and was gleaming in the summer sun. There’s something fantastic about Anthracite Grey when matched with new chrome. The combination just works so well.
This Anthracite Grey Beetle left the Naas Road factory bound for the Central Garage in Bray on October 3rd 1968. It didn’t hang about too long either as it was first registered nearly three weeks later on October 21st.
Today the Beetle looks better than new although I’m not sure if it had reversing lights from the factory so they may have been added at a later date.
