1300 Beetle Deluxe
We spotted this Anthracite Grey (L469) 1965 Beetle at the Obama Plaza show back in the summer of 2017. Any 60’s Beetle is a pleasure to see on the road and this was no exception.
It looks to be used on a very regular basis which is great and it looks to be quite stock other than a set of Rader wheels. It also has over riders fitted too so they have been ordered from new or fitted afterwards. The 1300cc engine has enough poke to keep up with modern traffic in and around town.
This Beetle is a late 1965 model, having been built in Dublin and delivered to Denis Mahony’s garage in Glasnevin on October 22nd 1965. It was then sold to its first owner and registered on November 4th 1965.
All in all, this is what a Beetle should be, used and enjoyed. Let’s hope we continue to see it out and about for many more years to come.
