Model information
1300S Beetle and Power Pack Beetle
Info
A 1300S Beetle or Power Pack Beetle as they were marketed locally here in Ireland. HIC 50 was spotted parking up at one of the old Volkswagen Owners Club of Ireland meetings in the Leopardstown Inn, Dublin. The VWOC of Ireland held their monthly meetings there and would see an array of VWs from a rare Split Window Beetle, an Oval or two, some lovely Type 2 Split Screen buses and of course some daily driven aircooled VWs.
This 1300S may have seen a few scrapes appear on its Tomato Red (L30M) paintwork but it was in excellent condition and we’re happy to say that it is currently in storage with a long term owner who is keeping it as his retirement project. We can’t wait to see this Power Pack Beetle back on the road again.
