Model information

1302LS Beetle

Info

“My late father’s VW Beetle. FIC490. In the 1970’s my dad worked with the forestry in Co. Carlow. If ya look closely you can see his German Shepherd named Kerr in the rear seat, they went everywhere together in that car.”

Thanks to Dave for submitting his father’s old Beetle. This 1302LS, which we think is Iberian Red (L31F)  would have been a very rare Beetle, even when new as so few were sold in the LS spec. This 1302LS has also been adorned with just the right amount of accessories such as rear window vent trim, engine lid trims, mudflaps, bumper rub strips and ACE plates. It also looks like there is an accessory headrest also on the driver’s seat, as well as Kerr, the German Shephard!

Thanks again to Dave for submitting this Beetle to the Beetle.ie Census, but a huge thanks to Darren O’Rourke for pointing Dave towards Beetle.ie
