1200 Beetle Deluxe

Assembled in Dublin in July 1965, DZI 284 rolled off the line as a hardtop Beetle Deluxe which you can see in the old photo showing the rear of the Beetle as it sat abandoned many years ago. The ‘then’ photo is quite a bit different to the ‘now’ photo which is a stunning red Karmann Cabriolet Beetle.
The Karmann body was in great shape from what we can gather but the floorpan was toast so the restorer used DZI’s perfect floorpan in the restoration. The upside of this is also that the Irish registration lives on, in some style too we must add!
