Padraic O’Riordan took this photo at the Longford Car Club’s vintage show on June 2nd 2024. This 1971 1200 Beetle deluxe looks to have been either restored or very well cared for all its life. We love the original number plates that were no doubt fitted in O’Reilly’s Volkswagen dealership when it was first sold. Black is an iconic Beetle colour so it’s great to see that this Beetle still retains its colour and that classic look. If you know any history of this Beetle we would love to know more about it because I’m sure there’s a story to go with its superb condition and we’re all ears!
