1200 Beetle Deluxe

1970 Beetle. Sapphire Blue with red seats. Owned by Joe Delaney in Mountrath, Co Laois. He bought it secondhand in 1978 and sold it in 1992. This picture was taken in September 1991. The bottom six inches all round was rotten at that stage and the torsion bar was gone on the front. In the picture the galvanise sheeting covering the wings was to prevent the patches lifting off the tubes in the tyres as it was a hot day. The door was left open to keep the car cool.
