I sold my Navy Blue Beetle (9881 Z) in 2006 because it needed a lot of bodywork and I didn’t have the cash. It also turned out to be cheaper to upgrade.
This was my daily driver for a couple of years until I moved into Dublin City. My then girlfriend (now wife) used it as her daily driver but found the cold and engine start/stop on winter days too much for her drive to work. We sold this beetle in 2008 to a lady from Limerick and purchased a lovely orange camper (73 D 980 – formerly UGO793M) with which we had many adventures until a tragic end which you can see if you look up 73 D 980 here on Beetle.ie
