1977 Karmann Beetle Cabriolet

I spotted this Karmann Cabriolet recently in Limerick. The US spec cabriolet was on a trailer outside a garage so it may be in for some TLC although with just a quick look over it, this Karmann soft top was quite solid. Perhaps a Californian import?
The roof was in good condition in terms of the outer roof and the wooden bows as it sits just right. Interior is nice but a little worn but that is to be expected. The original wheels have been replaced with replica Porsche Fuch rims which could do with a refresh. The bumpers are rusty as is the engine tinware but I’d imagine it is from sitting idle for a period of time.
