Model information
Split Screen Minibus
Info
“My Grandfather’s old Taxi bus up North. Only a partial reg visible unfortunately. The only thing my father remembers is that this Split was bought in Mc Burney’s in Ballymena Co. Antrim. It was green and fawn and Split Screen. My grandfather had two of them at various times as taxis and there was an RZ in the number of one of them.”
I asked Donegal based Eamonn what he knew about this Bus, a Bus that his grandfather owned. The full reg is not visible, which is why I am bending the rules, because the Beetle.ie Census is a record of Southern Irish registered aircooled VWs but if it’s not a full reg, we don’t know what it is. I am breaking our own rules but who doesn’t like to see a period photo of a classic aircooled VW. I promise I won’t do it again………
