This car was brought into the country from UK in approx 2008. I bought it from a guy in Galway in 2010. When I bought it the engine had been replaced with a 1600 sp engine. The car completed a round Ireland trip in 2011 and was even my daily for about 3 months one summer. It’s a 1972 with 60’s wings, lights and rear deck lid. I got stuck for a 1600 engine for my bay window van so robbed the beetle’s engine which I replaced with a 1200. I sold it in 2016 and I believe it is somewhere around the Meath area now.
