Panel Van, Type 2, and Type II

This May 1972 Dublin registered Bay Window Panel Van was sent into us by Aidan Brosnan. Aidan’s VW history goes way back and across various members of his family so he really enjoyed finding this (and other) VW when out in the sunny South East back in the early 00’s.
It’s a Crossover model which can be seen by the Early Bay front and Late Bay rear lights.
Although it looks solid in the photos, this Panel Van had seen a lot of road in its time. It had been brush painted but nearly two decades later people would go crazy to try and restore it. I believe the yard was cleared and the fate of this cool old Van is unknown.
