This particular Beetle is wearing a late 1974 Limerick County registration but it’s definitely not a 1974 Beetle so we can only assume it was imported from the UK at that time. It looks like it could be a 1970 model. Very little is known about this Beetle so we are not sure if that is the original colour or perhaps a repaint. It looks like Texas Yellow but that would not have been available until August 1971. The owner of this photo is not sure when it was taken but he thinks it was mid-late 1980s.
