The images of this Beetle date back to October 2022 and were taken by Sean Kavanagh in his father’s garage. Sadly, Sean’s father had only passed away a number of weeks earlier and this beautiful Beetle was Sean’s dad’s pride & joy.
The Beetle is a Deluxe model from 1965 but was imported into Ireland in the 1970s. It was registered in Cork in 1977. Sean said that the Beetle had been rebuilt some years previously and was dry stored since. It’s a running and driving Beetle that hopefully Sean will get to enjoy, although he was undecided if Beetling was for him, in this Beetle at least. It’s a lovely original looking Beetle that has been maintained very well so it’s a credit to Sean’s late father.
