This 1974 1200 Beetle Deluxe was snapped by John O’Connor at the Ballyglass Show in Mayo on Sunday June 2nd 2024. The Beetle looks to have had an extensive restoration in recent times. When many would have been tempted to paint the black plastic number plate housing to match the body colour, this owner has resisted that temptation in order to retain the originality of this production year as this is exactly how it would have left the Dublin factory, at the same time wearing a fresh coat of Gentian Blue (L51B), as it does today. Credit to the owner as this is a fabulous restoration.
