Thank you to Tony Groome for submitting this photo that he took quite a number of years ago in Dublin. It shows a very original looking Beetle, that was probably 15 years old at that stage but still looked exceptionally well.
The colour is Tropic Green (L60A) which is one of the most underrated colours offered by MDL but it is a fantastic shade of green and if you could find one today in that shade it would be quite rare. Very few were sold in Tropic Green and even less survive today.
This particular 1975 Beetle was assembled in Dublin in January 1975 and was immediately sent to Ballsbridge Motors to be sold, which it was, in February, on Valentine’s Day to be exact.
