1200 Beetle Deluxe
Info
Geoff Forde is not only the owner of a Lofoten Green Beetle (NCI 410) but he is also the proud owner of an Early Bay Camper that he is currently restoring so you can imagine Geoff’s surprise when he spotted this Beetle sticking its nose out from one of the open fronted sheds as he strolled the grounds of Cloughjordan House.
Geoff was enjoying some time away in Cloughjordan House when he clapped eyes on this lovely original looking Beetle. It turns out that this Beetle is a permanent fixture in the hotel so it is enjoying retirement in the beautiful grounds of Cloughjordan House these days.
This Manila Green (L63Y) Beetle is a one of the very last Beetles to have been assembled and registered in Ireland. The 1200 Beetle Deluxe was sold to its Dublin owner on February 9th 1978 and there aren’t many that were registered later than that date.
670 SZC is in excellent stock condition and still retains its original number plates. In fact, apart from a repaint and the colour coding of the wheel rims, this Beetle looks to be very original, right down to the interior and headlining.
