We received this submission a few days ago from the owner and were really looking forward to uploading it. We love to see new VWs, and this gorgeous Beetle is one such newbie. The owner sent us the photos and the below information. This stunning Bug has seen more of the world than I have! We love the colour, an Oval Window Beetle colour so it’s really unusual to see this being used on a 1960s Beetle but it works so well.
“Volkswagen 1200 De Luxe Sedan, Model Year 1965.
Manufacturing date 11th August 1964 with finish L456/Ruby Red delivery to Chicago, USA in August 1964. Special configurations on the original Volkswagen certificate include M358 (US-equipment) and M093 (Hinged rear side windows).
The colour was changed to L324/Polar Silver at some point.
Imported to Ireland in 2005 from the Philippines.”
