This is my 1977 Beetle. It still has the original blue vinyl interior. It’s got a cruising speed of 55mph and is going like a clock!
UPDATE Beetle.ie 9-1-2020: Thanks for submitting your Beetle Kerry. Your Beetle was built in Dublin at the end of August 1977 and was finished in Miami Blue (L51C) beore leaving Dublin for Cathal Duffy’s VW Dealers in Mayo where it was sold from. It was first registered on September 9th 1977 locally in Mayo, hence the ‘IZ’ registration.
As you can see, we have also attached an older photo of your Beetle that we had on file from many moons ago in Mayo. Little did we think we would get a match for this photo so you can imagine our surprise when a current day photo of 581 FIZ was submitted! Thanks for telling us about your beautiful Beetle and we wish you many happy miles behind the wheel.
