I’d love to be able to tell you loads of information about this dilapidated Beetle but all I remember is cycling around Limerick looking for Beetles as a young kid and stumbling across this 1976 1200 Lofoten Green (L61H) Beetle in a garage that was located behind a graveyard in the city. It was totally gone although I think it did offer some parts to other Beetles that were being restored in the garage at the time. It certainly looked an awful lot better than its singed Lofoten Green twin beside it!
Built in Dublin and registered to its first owner from Limerick County in June 1976 is all I know of this car’s history.
