Model information

1303 Beetle

Info

This very original looking 1303 was photographed on March 10th 2012 at an Eircooled Car Club Brekkie Roll which was held in Fermoy. Organised by Wayne McCarthy, this Brekkie Roll was well attended and the sunshine was a welcome change.

ZV 85733 is one of the first 1303 Beetles to be assembled, being registered in November 1972 in the UK. This particular Beetle was sold from William Arnold Ltd in Crewe, England. It was finished in Maya Gold (L98A) and came as standard with a 1300cc engine. It’s an extremely original 1303 and if you are restoring a 1303 and want to know what it should look like when it’s done, then we recommend you take time to look it over, taking plenty of notes and photos.
