It’s not too often you get to see a genuine right hand drive Karmann Cabriolet so it was a real treat to see this 1977 Diamond Silver Metallic 1303LS at Terenure in 2016.
From what we know, this is a genuine low mileage Beetle that had just a single owner in the UK, a doctor who used it sparingly, from July 1977 until it was imported into Ireland and registered to its new owner in Tipperary North.
It’s been a regular on the show scene in and around the Munster area as well as as shows like Terenure Classic Car Show in Dublin so it gets around.
UPDATE 09-12-2021: Spotted and photographed at a set of traffic lights in Dun Laoghaire a few years ago by Noah Ryan. This Karmann Cabriolet was looking as fresh as the day we first saw it at the 2008 Limerick Classic Car Show.
