I imported a VW Type 3 from the Netherlands 12 years ago. Before I bought it I went to see an Irish 1973 Variant in Tipp, 5020 HI but didn’t buy, much to my regret now, it actually was in very good condition but I a greenhorn at the time.
Anyhow, my 1970 Notchback is same colour as the 1971 one ZV 7056 ( Nenagh club I believe..) , but what is interesting is that mine has the basic 1500 single carb engine – ran from 1961 -1973 in type 3’s – but same ish engine as introduced in vans type 2’s and later in the Beetles in 1967.
