It seems that even if you don’t own a Volkswagen, you can still have a connection to one as is the case with Owen O’Reilly. As Owen says, this Beetle is familiar to all at his own wedding but also locally on the roads and shows in Monaghan.
“Hi Cathal. This photo is from my wedding in November 2013 and was taken in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the car as I wasn’t in it because ‘the hens’ had organised it for herself and the father in law. It belongs to a man in Castleblayney. I would often see it on the road up there doing daily driving and herself tells me it would often be at shows.”
