These photos were sent in to the Beetle.ie HQ recently. The Cork registered Beetle was spotted for sale and it looks to have received a full restoration in recent times which explains why it looked really fresh. The Bug wore some nice accessories and details like the chrome finger plates, stone guards, bonnet handle trim, EMPI 8 spoke rims and a full interior retrim.
Assembled in Dublin in February 1968, this Beetle left the Naas Road plant as a 1300 Deluxe model in Toga White (L90C). It was then sent to Chris O’Mahony, the main VW dealer in Cork city and was sold from there in the same month of February.
