SIR-92 was originally an Irish built Beetle but unfortunately 25 years sitting in a field had done no favours for this car like so many others.
I purchased this car as a parts car, the majority of the body and its panels were all rusted to a point where 90% of its panels would need replacing. I located a restored 1968 shell and saved what I could from the old body and began a long restoration.
As a result of the work I couldn’t be happier with the turnout and to save another Beetle from rusting away in a field!
Now my every day driver, the car has some modern touches added with LED lights all round, new lowered suspension, twin weber carbs, 6″ narrowed front beam, the list goes on and on, and so does my now empty bank account! 🤣😁
