Thanks to Eddie Rice for giving us permission to add this Beetle to the Beetle.ie Census. Thanks also to Darren O’Rourke of the Original Irish Aircooled VW Facebook group.
Eddie doesn’t know a lot of the backstory to this Beetle unfortunately but what we do know is that someone obviously loved it. It’s a late 1965 registered Beetle but it is a 1966 model. The original owner ticked a few boxes on the order form to get some very tasteful accessories such as the bumper overriders, rear stone guards, hubcap trim rings and raised silver digit number plates.
