This immaculate 1967 Beetle finished in Sea Sand was spotted by us at the 2016 Barn Bugs & Wags show which is run by and held on the grounds of VW Spares in Kildare. If you are looking for a fun event then head over to Castledermot on the October long weekend to camp on the Saturday night, indoors in the equestrian arena or drop over on the Sunday for a BBQ and a natter with other VW enthusiasts.
Anyway, back to this gorgeous Beetle. Being a 1967 model it has many of the unique ‘1967 only’ features including the long but squared off engine lid and matching valance, rear bumper, dash knobs, door handles to name but a few. Despite its outwardly appearance, a 1967 Beetle is totally different to any other model of Beetle which makes this Beetle a very cool example to own, especially when it’s in showroom condition.
We love the Maxwell’s of Athy dealer sticker on the rear window. A really nice touch as this was the selling dealer back in January 1967.
