This photo may be small but we thank the person who submitted it to us because it’s not often that we get photos from the 1950s, especially one of a 1956 Oval Window Beetle ‘on the move’!
It’s a great shot but sadly we know very little of the photo or the car other than it’s a January 1956 registered Beetle, which tells us the Beetle was assembled in Dublin in December 1955.
The 1200 Beetle Deluxe looks to have been finished in Black (L41) and wears a single fog lamp on one of the front bumper mounts.
