“Hi Cathal. Here is the first Beetle I was telling you about. EEI 260 was an Anthracite Grey (L469) Beetle that my father owned. This 1200 Beetle Deluxe was registered in Sligo in January 1965. He later traded that in for another Anthracite Grey Beetle, RIZ 152, in Cathal Duffy’s back in 1966. His VW life continued when he traded RIZ for a red 1500S Notchback (MZB 686) in Chris O’Mahony’s, the main Volkswagen dealer in Cork.”
