The person who submitted this photo didn’t know the full registration because it was covered by one of the boys but the photo is too good not to use in the Beetle.ie Census.
The photo was taken on Patrick Street in Cork during the floods of 1961. This poor Beetle Deluxe was only a year old when this photo was taken but the waters don’t look to have gone over the sills so perhaps the interior was saved from the waters. Either way, this Pearl White (L87) Beetle would have needed a check over to make sure no water had gotten into the engine.
