Info
Sometimes we get photos sent in and we wonder how can seemingly good cars end up lost in a shed. We’ll never know but this poor old Type 4 412 LS. This December 1973 registered (1974 model) looks to be in very good condition and is something you don’t see every day.
With parts hard to find and pricey when you do find them,, that might go someway to explaining why this restorable looking VW is where it is. By 1974 the LE was replaced by the LS as they reverted back to carburetor from fuel injection for the now increased 1795cc engine. Like the Type 3 Variant, the Type 4 Variant had huge storage capacity with boots front and rear.
