Our own Trevor Brady dug deep into his personal photographic archives to find this photo from The Irish Jaguar & Daimler’s annual show in Terenure many years ago. It would probably frighten us to think how long ago that was but if it’s a number you’re looking for, it was back in 2003!
This Pastel White (L90D) 1300 Beetle Deluxe was first registered in the UK on May 18th 1973 and then nearly twenty years later, it was imported into Ireland in the early 1990s and then registered in Dublin. The Beetle looked to be in good condition and was certainly looking quite original. We wonder what happened to this Beetle and where it might be now as it was someone’s pride & joy at the time.
Why not check out 73 D 901, also a 1973 1300 Beetle Deluxe that we have just added to the Beetle.ie Census. It’s not often that we get sequential registrations like this and especially on almost matching 1973 1300cc Beetles. It’s the simple things in life that keep us happy here at Beetle.ie 🙂
