“This is my late 1967 1500 RHD Golde Ragtop Beetle. It was originally registered in England but has since been imported into Donegal. Being a 1500cc Beetle it has factory fitted disc brakes up front, a swing axle gearbox and it’s also the first of the Beetles to run 12v electrics.
The Beetle underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration with an engine rebuild by the late Tommy Murray back around 2003. During the long restoration it was put back to the original Chinchilla Grey colour as it was when it left the factory. It’s been back on the road since 2021 and I’m looking forward to enjoying driving my Beetle for many years to come.”

It looks fantastic and from we can see, it’s the perfect mix of custom and stock, a very useable classic Beetle that any of us would be very happy to have the keys to. Well done for getting this Beetle up to the level that you want it and we hope to see you at some of the shows in 2022 or in the years to come.
