This is my 1965 Split Screen Double Cab or Crewcab if you prefer. It spent most of its life in the US around Texas and Nevada but other than that I know very little about its early life. It was imported to the UK 10 years ago before making its way to Northern Ireland where I purchased it last in 2017.
I’m guessing the logos were added in the US before it came over. In the UK it was used briefly by a gardening company and the canvas had seen better days. They had also cut the hoops down to the same height as the roof. I sourced a replacement canvas in the UK earlier this year and reinstated the hoops to stock height. The engine is a 1600 single port rebuilt by Bugbitz last year.
