Restored in Limerick in the late 1990’s, this Beetle started life as a Standard or Base model Beetle. Registered in Galway in 1977.
An upgraded engine, GT chromed gear lever, alloy wheels, sill trims, Mk1 Scirocco steering wheel, rev counter, under dash shelf, modern sound system (back then anyway 🙂 ) and of course the metallic paint set it apart from most other Base models.
It was a striking Beetle in its day. Where is it now? We believe it went into storage while new babies and family life took priority so maybe it’ll get a new lease of life soon.
