Another daily driver from back in the day was this November 1971 registered Beetle. Finished in Niagara Blue (L53D) it was an honest little 1200 Beetle Deluxe that was well used but still going strong when we spotted it on Sweetmount Avenue in Churchtown, Dublin 14.
We love the I Love Q sticker on the rear window. Only people of a certain age will remember that one but for those that don’t remember it, the I Love Q was a competition run by Quinnsworth Supermarket. If you were spotted with the window sticker on your car you could win. A simple competition but it worked as thousands of cars had this sticker on their back window at one time.
